BPP fill form is a bachelor preparatory program. It is an undergraduate course of 6 months. Which can be extended up to 2 years. This course is offered in distance mode in English medium. IGNOU offers this program for individuals who want to pursue a bachelor degree course but cannot due to absence of 10+2 qualifications. Hence to enable students to be able to pursue desired higher education, university has introduced this program. IGNOU offers preparatory courses in general mathematics, commerce and social science. Students must know that a BPP course is not equivalent to 10+2 and no certification is issued after the completion of it. Applicants will be admitted in IGNOU BA/BCOM program under non-formal stream.

Is Assignment Submission Mandatory for IGNOU BPP Admission 2026?

IGNOU assignments are very essential for overall assessment of the students, as it carries 30% total mark weightage. Learners have to download the assignments online and complete them before the given date at the respective study center or regional center. Assignments have to be submitted before appearing for term-end examination as no students will be permitted to write their paper if assignments are still due. Also it is crucial to read all the assignment related guidelines before attempting them.  Students have to submit one assignment each for 2 courses of the chosen preparatory program. If any person clears the assignment and fails the TEE, then he/she will be required to write the assignments again.
