Indira Gandhi National Open University was founded in 1985 by the Indian Government in the name of Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister. IGNOU MPhil Admission provides multiple levels of programs like certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate. What is IGNOU MPhil Admission 2026?

Indira Gandhi National Open University offers a 1-year Master of Philosophy program. In accordance with the most recent NEP 2020 Guidelines IGNOU will no longer be offering the MPhil program for the July 2026 academic session. Among the MPhil courses offered by IGNOU are Human Resource Management Research Methodology and Literature Review among others.

IGNOU MPhil Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Indira Gandhi National Open University eligibility criteria for MPhil program needs master degree in any relevant field from a recognized university. A minimum score of 55% is necessary for admission. For other castes like SC/ST/OBC students can get 5% relaxation from IGNOU. Admissions are generally based on a combination of entrance exam and UGC NET or GATE.

• To pay the MPhil application fee online go to the payment gateway

• You can pay the INR 1000 application fee with a credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI

• Verify the accuracy of every piece of information you entered. To complete your application click Submit

• Completed application and payment confirmation should be downloaded and printed for your records
